Bethlehem intelligence prevents promoting counterfeit currency and arrests the promoter

The General Intelligence Service in the Bethlehem governorate prevented, after an intelligence effort led to certain information about the intention of a citizen from Bethlehem, a process of promoting counterfeit currency in the local market

A force of the General Intelligence Service raided the suspect’s house. After inspection, a sum of counterfeit currency of NIS 200 was found. The suspect, who confessed that he planned to contribute the money in the local market, was arrested and transferred to the Public Prosecution to complete legal proceedings against him.

The General Intelligence Service is grateful to the citizens for their continued cooperation, but stresses the importance of combating these acts, which aim at undermining the economic security of the Palestinian market, and stresses the need to inform the competent authorities of any suspected person in this field
